Frequently Asked Questions
KidsHQ SuperMeals are nutritious meals that have been developed by a Cordon Bleu Chef, following the Ministry of Health’s Eating for Healthy Toddlers and Children and the Heart Foundation’s Healthy Heart Award’s guidelines. All meals have been designed to appeal to children’s taste buds while being high in protein and fresh vegetables, low in fat and sodium and with no added sugar.
Because our meals are mild in flavour, soft in texture and require no cutting, they are usually suitable for children one-year-old and over. Toddlers are ready for KidsHQ SuperMeals once they can easily feed themselves using fingers and hands, bite through different foods and chew well.
Of course not! Our meals are popular with children and adults alike, especially the elderly, because of their soft texture and delicate flavours. Adults sometimes choose to spice up the meals by adding extra seasoning or a favourite sauce. Adults can team up a SuperMeal with a side salad for a healthy lunch alternative.
Our meals are packaged in microwave and oven safe biodegradable containers. For best results, cook meals in the microwave, following the instructions below:

We use sustainable, 100% biodegradable containers made from sugar cane pulp. These can be added to your compost or worm farm after a quick rinse to remove excess food residue. We find containers will biodegrade much faster if they’re broken into smaller pieces. Alternatively, they can be recycled along with the paper and cardboard recycling if not too contaminated with food residue.
Our meals are prepared at Parnell Early Childhood Centre’s commercial kitchen by a small team of passionate chefs and cooks. All kitchen staff hold a current Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate.
